Texas-based Mark Monaco and the Strayhearts deliver a unique blend of styles mixing Latin rock, country, and pop into a lush, high-octane sound that resonates with authentic music lovers.

 

A cross between The Mavericks and Rob Thomas, lead vocalist and songwriter, Mark Monaco, pulls from his vast musical influences like Elvis Presley, U2, Garth Brooks, Tom Petty, and Roy Orbison. 

 

Mystery (Havana 1939) is the first single off their self-titled debut EP and was produced during quarantine in 2020. An uptempo rocker, fusing Latin horns and percussion with retro upright bass and B3 organ, the song laments a “mystery” woman from a bygone time. 

 

Approaching the release of the EP, plans are in the works for a tour in the fall of 2021, and the band is already in production on a follow-up record, due out January 2022.
